Britney Spears Will Get $15 Million To Judge X Factor

Jessica Simpson stopped by “The Tonight Show” not only to promote her hosting gig on NBC’s “Fashion Star,” but also to open up about impending motherhood.

“It doesn’t feel like I have a lot of time,” she replied when Jay Leno asked when she expects to give birth. “Labor is really going to hurt. I have so much respect for my mom and all the women across the world.

This is a tough thing here, and I’m wearing six-inch heels today. It’s a lot of weight to carry on six inches.”

While Simpson was already engaged to fiancé Eric Johnson, she was still pretty surprised to find out she was going to be a mom.

“I was [surprised to find out I was pregnant]. We weren’t trying, but we were practicing, and not safely practicing. I freaked out I was so excited,” she recalled. “Eric … was completely shocked. he had no idea I was taking a pregnancy test. he cried.”

The pregnancy means that their wedding won’t happen for a while longer.

“I want him to be my husband so bad. I do still want to wear the pretty gown and everything, and I have to wait till after the baby. now she’ll just be in the wedding,” she said.

The conversation, of course, did turn to Simpson’s nude Elle magazine cover, which paid homage to Demi Moore’s similar shot for Vanity Fair in 1991. “I shot that a couple months ago. I don’t quite look like that right now,” the extremely pregnant singer said with a laugh. “I’m glad I did that a couple months ago. … I can’t believe [the Moore cover] was 20 years ago. I don’t think I saw it when I was ten-ish, but I think through the years I saw the iconic pregnant shot. I wanted to do it. Elle didn’t even ask me if I wanted to do it. I just always had the idea in my mind that I would do it.

“I don’t think [my dad] would have recommended it. No, it was a private set,” she continued. “I don’t even know if I told him. Maybe my publicist did, but my pub is one of my really, really good friends. I just said I wanted to do it and we don’t have to tell anybody about it so everybody’s pretty shocked about it. I haven’t had a conversation with him about it. he is backstage so it makes for an awkward conversation afterwards.”

Ahead of hosting Saturday Night Live this weekend, Lindsay Lohan sat down with NBC’s Matt Lauer to chat about her career goals — and her comeback. Throughout the segment, Lohan emphasized how community service has helped her, and that she’s looking forward to new acting projects.

Lauer introduced her by saying, “at just 25 years old, she’s attempting a comeback,” and “she says she’s rid herself of people who were bad influences.” He then went on to mention her SNL gig (Lohan said she’s looking forward to poking fun at herself), her community service, and how she looks at her old self.

Asked about those who doubt her good patch with last, Lohan replied:

It’s unfortunate. but if I harped on that and only focused on the negative and people that doubted me, I might be right back where they wanted me. But that’s not for me and I’m not going, I don’t want to go back to that place. I want to move forward with my life, and I want to continue to move forward.

Five years from now, she said, she hopes she’ll just have come back from the Oscars. Speaking of which, Lohan is looking to immerse herself in her acting career — and will start by portraying Elizabeth Taylor in an upcoming film. “I’m not going to let anyone down,” she said, “especially myself.”

Toward the end of the segment, Lauer asked about her personal life, to which Lohan replied she’s not looking to be in a relationship. Her focus, she emphasized, is her career.

She’s always up for a fun gig, and last night (December 21) Avril Lavigne was all about showing off her skills on the “X Factor” finale.

The “I’m With You” songstress joined forces with finalist Chris Rene to perform her top 10 single “Complicated,” in hopes of helping clinch the win.

Meanwhile Alanis Morissette sang a duet wiht Josh Krajcikand and R. Kelly helped bolster the chances of Melanie Amaro walking away victorious.

And it all comes down to tonight’s results show, set to hit the FOX airwaves at 8:00pm Eastern Time.

Getting her new Thousand Oaks, California home ready for the holidays, Britney Spears has decorated her abode with a ton of Christmas lights.

Additionally, the “Toxic” songstress put out a Santa Claus figure as well as plenty of inflatable characters and various other Christmas-themed items.

Britney recently returned from her Femme Fatale World Tour, closing out the 79-date run with a gig in San Juan.

After the show, she tweeted, “That’s a wrap! The Femme Fatale tour is officially over Gotta give some end of tour shout outs…”

“To all my dancers – u all are basically family. Thx so much for an unforgettable year! to every single INCREDIBLE person on my crew – none of this would of been possible without you. I’m gonna miss u!”

“And last but DEFINITELY not least – to all of the amazing fans who I saw on this journey around the world. <3 u all.”
