Why it is beneficial to unlock an iPhone

Unlocking an iPhone has a variety of benefits. whether talking about the new upcoming iPhone 5, or the previous iPhone 4, everybody is looking for unlocking these, in order to avail a number of benfits.

One of the major benefits of unlocking the iPhone is that you can put any local sim in it, and be able to make calls to other networks at local rates. This means that your iPhone will not work at roaming rates, and you will be able to make calls very cheaply, compared to what it would cost you if you did not unlock it. Another facility that is provided by unlocking the iPhone is that you will be able to use more than one sim in it. You could switch sims at a time, use dual or triple sims, or even remove one and use another. Each of these will enable you to make calls at very cheap rates.

Actually unlocking an iPhone can refer to two types of unlocking. So here it is better to clarify which type we are talking about, to clear any confusion. So, the first type of unlocking means getting a third party involved through which you will be able to get GPRS, Wifi and many other facilities. This type of unlocking is mostly known as jailbreaking an iPhone. the other type of unlocking refers to the things, that you will be able to get, like local sims and call at local rates. Here, we are talking about the second type of unlocking an iPhone. For this purpose, there are a number of softwares available and you may get some companies online who do the unlocking task. If you go for a good compnay, you can avail great benefits of unlocking your iPhone, and be able to enjoy using your phone, without having to pay a lot.

Moreover, there are many other advantages of unlocking an iPhone. When you get an iPhone, you will find a number of applications installed on it. Many of these would be of no use to you, and when you would be trying to install your type of application, you would be unable to do that, the best solution to all this is by unlocking the iPhone. there are many other things that can not be done on the iPhone, such as better video recording on the camera, and installing themes. All this is possible to do with the help of unlocking the phone.

Unlocking the iPhone also provides you the benefit to move to different countries and get their sims in the phone. Whichever country you go to, you could unlock the phone, and get the local sim and call with the local rates, without having to pay extra roaming charges. You can personalize your phone exactly the way you want, and you can get a completely new look on it. All this can be done by unlocking your phone. Thus to enjoy from your phone in the best possible manner, it is beneficial to unlock it, to get access to a number of things, that you wouldn’t have gained access to, had you not unlocked it.

Windows Phone outsells iPhone in China

It is without a doubt that many of us do think that the iPhone is one of the best selling smartphones in the market ever since it arrived in 2007 (has it been that long already?), sporting new upgrades from time to time that see ever longer queues outside numerous Apple Stores worldwide days before the actual launch. Well, the world’s most populous country, China, has thrown a spanner into the works where Apple’s plans for world domination is concerned, with a claim appearing online that Microsoft’s Windows Phone platform which launched in China earlier this year has already started to outsell the iPhone in terms of sheer volume – taking just a couple of months to achieve this feat. now, this is truly something, don’t you think so?

Obviously, some measure of fairness and objectivity need to be injected into this claim, as it might have more to do with the pricing structure itself compared to the platform’s desirability, as Apple products have literally been lusted after in exchange of body parts and perhaps to some, personal dignity. it is said that Microsoft’s Windows Phone operating system makes up 7% of the Chinese mobile market, while Apple’s iOS is a wee bit back at 6%. Michel van der Bel, Microsoft’s COO for the Greater China Region was tickled enough to say, “We’ve only just begun.” They’re still a long way off Android who sits pretty at the top of the pile at 69% thereabouts though.

Apple angles for iPhone5.com domain

Apple wants to get its hands on the domain name iPhone5.com. (Pictured is the iPhone 4S.)

You can never have enough clues about what Apple might have up its sleeve for its nextiPhone.

The latest tidbit comes in the form of a domain name — iphone5.com — for which Apple has filed a claim with the World Intellectual Property Organization. to date, Apple’s smartphone line has counted up only to theiPhone 4S, but the company is widely believed to be getting ready to bring aniPhone 5 into the world.

Of course, ahead of the iPhone 4S launch last fall, a good many people expected that device would be the 5 model. by way of comparison, Apple’s latest tablet was generally expected to be the iPad 3, but ended up being called just the new iPad.

IRA Financial Group Tax Attorney Featured on CBS News

Miami, FL (PRWEB) May 18, 2012

On May 16, 2012, Adam Bergman, a tax attorney with the IRA Financial Group was featured on WINK CBS News, Fort Myers, FL regarding the ability to use retirement funds, such as an IRA and 401(k) Plan, to buy real estate tax-free. The story focused on a client of IRA Financial group, Mike Aranda, who had tremendous success using his retirement funds to buy real estate in the Ft Myers area. The story focused on Mr. Arandas past experience on Wall Street and how he was able to use a self...

While there are no specifications to be gleaned here, the WIPO filing does at least suggest that Apple is considering the iPhone 5 name for the next iteration of its market-defining device. or perhaps it just wishes to take that domain out of play, regardless of what it calls the device.

In its current state, iPhone5.com is a forum site, created in February 2008, according to the WhoIs record. its copyright statement clearly indicates that it is “not endorsed, sponsored, nor otherwise affiliated with Apple” and that it was created “for the sole purpose of entertainment and knowledge.”

And apparently at least some of the denizens of the site like it just fine that way. Worried that if Apple were to take control the site would be shut down, a commenter named Morphius wrote today: “we as members here before the 4s was even released at iphone5.com should stand our ground against Apple. we have every right to be a fan of the iPhone and to talk and discuss about it. THEY WIILL NOT SHUT US DOWN!!!!!

The bare-minimum WIPO filing page does not indicate when Apple filed its complaint, although the case number D2012-0951 does indicate that it might have been sometime this year. It does say, under the heading decision, “Case active.”

Like many companies, Apple has done battle before to take possession of domain names in a quest to protect the good name of its products. In November, for instance, having filed a complaint with the WIPO, Apple was able to take control of seven “iPhone” domain names, including the straightforward iphone4s.com and the more prurient iphonesex4s.com.

For speculation about what the iPhone 5 (or whatever it ends up being called) might feature, check out CNET’s regularly updated “iPhone 5 rumor roundup.” among the latest reports are claims that the next iPhone will have a 4-inch screen and a thinner, taller body.

Apple is widely expected to deliver the iPhone 5 sometime this year.

We’ve requested comment from Apple and will update this story when we get a response.

iPhone5.com Domain Name Dispute Won By Apple, Takes Ownership

Early last week, Apple filed a complaint with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) against the owners of iPhone5.com and claimed ownership. the company has now won the dispute and the ownership of iPhone5.com will soon be transferred to them.

Apple has been known to go after websites that use such domain names in bad faith to make a profit or to lure people in to believing something that’s not real. the fruit company is also taking legal action against iPhone4s.com and many other domain names that have their product names and are being misused. the case, that was filed few weeks ago, now shows its status as Terminated and the domain name is currently being held by Corporation Service Company, a domain name protection agency.

Many people believe that Apple may have done this because its next iPhone may be called the iPhone 5, but there’s more to it than that. the company may just want to avoid confusion and stop the use of its product names in non-useful and scam websites. the iPhone5.com used to be an inactive forum, that was just bought in hopes of making some money. too bad, it didn’t work out.

Four-Inch iPhone 5 Heading Our Way

The latest news regarding the new iPhone that Apple is predicted to be releasing this year is most likely to have a screen that’s larger than the ones the current models have.

This assumption has come from the news that says that Apple has ordered bigger screens from the Asian suppliers. According to the Wall Street Journal, the new screens that will be featured in the new iPhone will measure at least 4 inchs diagonally when they compared the screens to the 3.5 inches on the latest model of the iPhone 4S. The source has also said that production will start from next month, and analysts say that the next iPhone will come in the fall. however, Apple has not commented on any of this.

According to the source, Apple is working with a lot of screen makers, including South Korea’s LG display co., Japan display inc. and Japan’s Sharp Corp. Apple is also facing competition from Samsung Electronics co., who showed a smartphone with the largest display at 4.8-inch. though Apple has given is something new in the shape of the iPhone line, however, their dimensions remain the same. Apple is facing competition from Samsung as they sell a larger variety of phones. According to market research by Strategy Analytics, Samsung shipped 44.5 million smartphones and Apple sold 35.1 million giving them a 30.6% and 24.1% hold on the global market in the first quarter.

According to Nobou Kurahashi, Mizuho Investors Securities analyst, the smartphone market has become diverse; however, the iPhones still set the agenda as the strength of Apple’s iPhones is in the overall experience that they provide to customers.

The iPhone is a growth engine for Apple, and its popularity in Asia helped in giving Apple a lot of earnings. The Cupertino, Calif., experienced doubled profits to $11.62 billion in the quarter though March, and the iPhone sales experienced a jump of 88%.

In news other than the rivalry between Samsung and Apple regarding their smartphones, both companies also fight on designs and patens. both companies also depend on each other as Apple is Samsung’s component divisions, largest customer. this component division makes displays and chips for tablets and smartphones.

Apple doesn’t make its own products because it hires manufacturing specialists to assemble its gadgets by using components mostly made by Asian suppliers.

Leave your thoughts about whether or not the new iPhone will have a larger screen!

Forget the iTV, Steve Jobs wanted to make an iCar

Steve Jobs evidently thought about disrupting everything. from computers, to phones, to televisions … to cars. Apple board member and J. Crew chief executive Mickey Drexler revealed the unfulfilled dream.

“Steve’s dream before he died was to design an iCar, and it would have been probably 50 percent of the market. he never did design it,” said Drexler at Fast Company‘s Innovation Uncensored conference.

Jobs seems to have dreamed of having his hands in every industry. an iCar undoubtedly would have been something to see. I imagine docks for your iPhone, Pod, and Pad, and a hot chocolate/cookie dispenser like the one from Tim Allen’s sleigh in The Santa Clause. it would also be a transformer. But, as Drexler notes, Jobs never designed the car. he may, however, have started designing a television, which is rumored to come out in 2013.

Drexler, whose company is known for great design in the fashion world, also said he wouldn’t want to be Tim Cook, Apple’s current CEO, and Steve Jobs’ successor.

“never take over a company that’s doing great,” he said. “I love Tim Cook, but I wouldn’t want his job.”

Does iMessage On The iPhone 4S Signify The End Of SMS Messaging?

The new iPhone 4S is being released with the brand new version of Apples world famous operating system. This new platform, named iOS5, brings a wealth of benefits for the consumer including the new iMessage application which enables instant messaging between Apple devices. does the release of platforms such as iOS 5 spell the end for the once popular SMS text message?

The new iMessage system enables the easy exchange of text between devices running the iOS 5 operating system. As well as including the new iPhone 4S this will also apply to the iPhone 4 and the 3GS as well as the iPad tablet devices. The platform also enables photos and videos to be easily transferred between friends. This feature builds on the success established by RIM with their own Blackberry Messenger feature which has become popular across the world. in addition to these services that are provided by phone manufacturers there are also a host of third party applications which also perform a similar function. Facebook have recently launched their own chat facility and the new Google Plus social networking site also incorporates a feature that enables instant messaging. It seems that if you own a smartphone then you have access to such a feature and this is great news to millions of phone users worldwide who can use a WiFi internet connection or a cellular data network to send this type of message with no cost at all. Network providers have acknowledged this fact any many contracts now incorporate unlimited data meaning the user has no restrictions on how often they use such a facility.

So does the rise in popularity of the IM signal the end of the traditional SMS text message? The answer is no, well not for a while yet and this is the reason. Powerful handsets such as the iPhone 4S need to maintain a constant internet connection for systems such as iMessage and Facebook chat to work effectively. Even if you are not currently sending a message the program needs to be running in order to instantly receive the message as well as to tell you who is online and when a friend is typing a reply. To maintain such a connection long term places a tremendous strain on the devices battery life. The modern Lithium-Ion battery cannot cope with such a system being used continuously throughout the day. Technology is always improving and soon we may see a battery capable of giving a reasonable performance even with features such as this running but at present the lack of power means that IM does not signify the death of SMS.

There is no question that systems such as iMessage on the iPhone 4S are the future of text communications but it seems the software is a little ahead of the hardware at this moment in time. Until a battery is developed that can provide lengthy standby times even with an internet connection running in the background then we will still have room on our devices for the humble SMS message.

Best Buy Stores Cut iPhone 4 Price to $50

Price cuts for Apple’s iPhone have spread to Best Buy, where the retailer has slashed the iPhone 4′s price to $50.

The deal is available in stores only, but shoppers can check local availability at Best Buy’s Website. Best Buy is only offering a discount on the 8 GB iPhone 4, in both black and white on AT&T, Sprint and Verizon Wireless.

Other third-party retailers have also slashed prices on iPhones in recent weeks. Target and Radio Shack both took $50 off the iPhone 4 and the iPhone 4S, and like Best Buy, both retailers only offered those deals in stores. of course, all sale prices require a two-year contract.

It’s tempting to read into the sales as a sign of a new iPhone to come, but keep in mind that third-party retailers have offered these types of in-store deals around this time of year before. last June, Walmart dropped the iPhone 4′s price by $50 for over three weeks. The following August, Radio Shack cut iPhone 4 prices by $30. Apple didn’t launch the iPhone 4S until October.

Apple may launch its next iPhone in October as well–at least according to rumors and analyst speculation. The latest iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S in-store sales are, in all likelihood, exactly what they seem to be: good deals and nothing more.

Latest iPhone Rumor Points to 4-Inch Screen (Again)

For those wondering if Apple plans to give its next iPhone a larger screen, a report from the Wall Street Journal just added more fuel to the fire.

The newspaper reported that Apple has ordered screens from its Asian suppliers that are “at least” a half-inch bigger than the current 3.5-inch screens used on every other model of the iPhone thus far. Production for the new 4-inch screens is set to begin next month.

Reuters, meanwhile, claims to have sources who confirmed the Journal’s report, noting early production of the new screen has begun at three different suppliers in South Korea and Japan — Korea’s LG Display, Sharp Corp, and Japan Display Inc. Reuters’ sources estimated the suppliers will receive production orders next month and start the assembly line in August.

Apple’s decision to give its next iPhone a larger screen could be a way to compete with rival smartphone maker Samsung, which has been upping the ante on screen size. South Korea-based Samsung, which became the world’s top cell phone maker in the first quarter, unveiled its Galaxy S III smartphone earlier this month with a 4.8-inch screen.

Rumors that Apple is planning to deviate from its existing 3.5-inch iPhone screen size have been circulating since early this year. back in January, 9to5Mac claimed to have “reliable sources” at Apple supplier Foxconn who said several possible models of the next iPhone were floating around, all of which included screens of at least 4 inches.

Reuters in March reported that Apple’s new iPhone will have a massive 4.6-inch Retina display. at the time, MacRumors called the report “questionable” and “hard to believe,” but speculated that a 4-inch screen was possible.

Last month, meanwhile, analyst Brian White with Topeka Capital Markets predicted the next iPhone will have a 4-inch screen and high-speed 4G LTE connectivity. White said he gleaned insider information about Apple’s next-gen iPhone during a recent tour in China and Taiwan, where he visited various tech suppliers.

Other rumors indicate that the next iPhone will be about 20 percent thinner than its predecessor, with a metal backside, and smaller dock connector.

iPhone5.com Filed For Ownership by Apple

The iPhone 5 has been a very rumored device for the past two years and, and even after its non existence, and the rather disappointing announcement of the 4S, everyone is wondering, what will happen to the iPhone 5?

Recently, Apple has filed ownership for the internet domain name “iPhone5.com” and what makes this interesting is that the website is already a forum for the device. from the looks of it, there are only two equally possible options. Either the phone exists, and this is Apple trying to claim the domain name in order to set up a redirect for the announcement and launch, or this is a just Apple acquiring domain names related to their brand.

I feel like, and certainly hope, that is the first. since the closing of Apple’s forums, Apple has always promoted fan sites, so it seems unlikely they would want to close one down. then again, they could always request the site to transfer to another domain.

I also feel like the next iPhone could go the way of the iPad in the terms of the naming of the device, but in a world of numbered and uniquely identifiable, I don’t see them changing their working advertising method for the very successful phone.

The identification number for the filing is D2012-0951 if you want to follow the news further.
